Upon moving to Toronto at age 18, Chloë began frequenting open mics with her grandfather’s old telecaster and a collection of lighthearted pop songs that she had written in high school.
Before long she had formed a four piece band called Dreamboat and was playing shows at little bars on the west side of Toronto. Over time she gained confidence as a band leader, and her songwriting style morphed as she experimented with different genres.
Life experience goes a long way in the development of any artist. In Chloë’s case, nothing has influenced her work more than her recent backpacking trip through Asia. She returned to home soil teeming with inspiration and an unbridled sense of freedom to explore the limits of her creativity.
